About Tait's Trails
Tait’s Trails started as a simple idea between Tyler and Madison, two people who genuinely love the mountains and wanted to share that passion with others. What began as a conversation has grown into something they’ve worked hard to bring to life.
With backgrounds in outdoor adventure and geology, they offer more than just a guided hike. Each experience is built around connection to the landscape, to the stories behind it, and to the people exploring it alongside them.
Our Experience
With a shared passion for the outdoors and years of hands-on experience, Tyler and Madison bring a thoughtful, well-rounded approach to every hike. Both are certified through the Interpretive Guides Association and hold Wilderness First Aid certifications, ensuring every outing is both engaging and safe.
Tyler’s background in Outdoor Adventure from Algonquin College has shaped his deep understanding of trail systems, group dynamics, and backcountry safety. He has a natural ability to connect people with the landscape, sharing insights on wildlife, terrain, and the stories that make each hike memorable.
Madison’s academic background in geology adds another layer to the experience, bringing the mountains to life through their formation, history, and unique features. Her perspective offers guests a deeper appreciation for the landscapes they’re walking through, not just what they see, but how it came to be.

Why it's Different
Together, Tyler and Madison combine technical training, academic knowledge, and real-world guiding experience to create something more than just a hike. Whether you're new to the Canadian Rockies or returning with experience, their approach is designed to meet you where you are—making the outdoors approachable, engaging, and genuinely memorable.
It’s not just about getting to the viewpoint. It’s about understanding the place, feeling connected to it, and leaving with a story worth telling.

We’re Madison and Tyler, siblings, best friends, and your guides to unforgettable adventures in the Canadian Rockies. Raised outdoors and shaped by the trails. Tait’s Trails was built on our shared love of hiking, our curiosity for the natural world, and our passion for connecting people to the stories, ecosystems, and awe-inspiring beauty of this landscape.
Whether you're new to hiking or a seasoned summit chaser, our goal is simple: make you feel confident, connected, and inspired every step of the way.
