Service Description

Mount Hunter Upper Lookout is a demanding, no-shortcuts hike for those who like their rewards earned the hard way. Beyond the lower lookout, the trail continues steeply upward, revealing expansive views over the Kicking Horse and Beaverfoot valleys that feel rugged, remote, and well above it all. Covering approximately 11.4 km round trip with 1,300 m of elevation gain, this hard hike typically takes 5–7 hours depending on pace and conditions. It’s best suited for experienced hikers with strong fitness and confident footing — the kind of outing where the climb is relentless, the views are unforgettable, and the accomplishment sticks with you long after you’ve left Yoho National Park.
